- All three articles were about things that effect the United States. The first two are about terrorist attacks/bombing and the third was about the government shutting down. They also all took place in the 90's.

It's about how violent video games apparently can cause shootings. All because of one shootings, they're claiming that violent video games could have a major effect on the shooting(s). The video games alone didn't alone cause him to do it, but they think it was a factor in it all.
BR- 9/18/13
- Violence, drug use, and bullying, suicidal threats.
- Yes it is.
- I would do all that I could to stop it because it's an invasion of privacy.

BR- 9/17/13
- It pretty much says that we Americans are horrible people and jump to conclusions way to easily. We judge people on their appearance and skin color and then treat them differently. The melting pot definitely isn't what it seems to be.
- No it hasn't.
BR- 9/16/13
Addie Mae Collins, Cynthia Wesley, Carole Robertson, and Denise McNair were all young girls who got killed because of a bomb. They were in the basement, getting ready for a church assembly when the bomb went off. Addie Mae's sister, Sarah lost an eye, but lived. John Boehner was awarded a metal in honor of the four girls.

Assignment 9/12/13

- He had worked for a large company and was in a meeting. The meeting ended because an executive ran in and said that there was a terrible plane crash in the World Trade Center. While one of his colleagues and him were watching the live footage on television, they saw the second plane hit and her colleagues broke out in tears because his brother worked in the second tower, on one of the higher floors.

- Frank Razzano was one of the few people who survived 9/11. He was staying in the Marriott World Trade Center, which is a hotel, but was one of the buildings destroyed. He was on the 19th floor of the hotel sleeping, but had woken up due to the sound of the first plane hitting. He looked outside to just see dust and papers everywhere. Seconds later he saw the second plane hit.

- People that don't have jobs are trying to get benefits for it, pretty much. The layoff rate has declined, which is great for the people with jobs, but there's no new job opening up for the millions of Americans that are unemployed.
- I think that is does mean that the economy is improving, maybe not drastically but somewhat.
BR- 9/11/13
- I think that we are entitled to our privacy, no matter what.
- Security may be important, but I personally think they should have to suspect us of something before the read into our private online lives.
- I think that the government should be allowed to have some kind of program to search for certain keywords, but that's it.
- If you reach a certain number of those keywords, maybe they could send you something to tell you that they're watching you.
- In general, if they want to monitor what you're doing online, you should be notified somehow beforehand.

- Basically just to serve larger groups of people, especially football fans and to earn more money, obviously.
- There would be a lot of calorie intake, for sure. I'm positive that it would add on to the obesity rate because I'm sure a lot of people would eat the entire meal.
- Other people probably will follow this trend because it'll make them more money as well.

- Science, technology, engineering, and math.
- I'm not exactly too sure.
- It won't, I'm still going to go to college for what I want to do, not what pays better and everything.
Assignment 8/30/13
"We will not be satisfied until justice rolls down like waters and righteousness like a mighty stream."
He meant that him nor his followers will be happy and content until everyone is equal and there is peace over all of America. He doesn't believe that it's right that blacks get treated poorly, when whites get to do whatever they want. He just wants them to all get along with one another and have peace.

- I don't think that it is acceptable that he did this to his son, especially over sentence structure.
- He has anger issues, but I don't think he meant to slap him as hard as he did.
- Probably so.
BR- 9/5/13
- No, I don't think that McDonalds should raise their prices on the dollar menu. It's called "the dollar menu" for a reason. If they do end up raising the prices of the menu, they should really consider changing the name of the menu as well.
- I think they should be payed a living wage, because sometimes the only jobs you can find, even with a college degree and everything, is at a fast food restaurant.

- Yes, I do believe it is a invasion of privacy because Facebook stores a lot of peoples private data and the governement is obviously invading it.
- I'm not sure, I have no read them.
- Yes, it does because the fourth amendment states that people are to be secure in their own homes.
