- Why's the elephant saying "bubba"?
- Why's the cop's shirt sleeve say "voters"?
- What's the guys shirt mean and why does it have a snake on it?
- What does he mean by "Whoo-wee! We're heroes, man! Gimme five!!"?
- Let your eyes go to where the want to go/what stands out the most.
- Let the movement naturally flow after the main focus.
- Figure out who it's meant to be pointed towards most.
- Try to understand what it means.
- Scan the poster/cartoon/picture and look for recognizable symbols.
- Look for small details that'll make it humorous.
- Symbolism; Shows the problem overall.
- Exaggeration; Shows how big the problem is.
- Labeling; Clears the picture up for the viewers.
- Analogy; The entire picture, pretty much. The meaning of the entire picture.
- Irony; Typically the quote/saying at the bottom. It helps you understand better.
